WOOT! My first thread on this forum...Watch and it already exsit and I get a warning or something,...
but anywho..on with the point.
So, We all know that Light originally started off wanting to rid the world of evil, so he started eliminating criminals. Now, is that a good or bad thing? Alot would find it good, but due to the fact that others where against it, they find it bad no? In my opinion, what's good an evil is a matter of opinion, what you find good, I might find evil...It's just like this. Light killed criminals, some agreed, some didn't. The fact is, because Light was killing criminals, this implies that Light thinks people cannot change. By killing them, they do not get a second chance, on top of that, he'd kill over little crimes such as shop lifting. As well as he could be killing people who really were innocent. This, in my opinion, is bad. Now, I myself and not for the whole "Good VS Evil" thing due to the fact that I feel it is overrated. To me, Good and Evil are just a way to describe someone, everyone does Good and Evil things, it's nature..so in my opinion, Humans are not good nor evil, they are nothing more then "Neutral." The Good and Evil are left up to religious matters..but anywho..Now, as the story progresses, Light or Kira, starts to enjoy killing. Over time, we see that he becomes mentally insane, and bassically becomes a socialpath. As well as he starts calling himself "God" over the new world. So his goal of ridding the world of evil, went to controlling the world. We know this because there was a part where he said that soon America will also worship Kira. Now, could this be categorized as "evil?" In some peoples eyes, yes..to me, it's just someone who obtained to much power and went mentally insane because of it. Now, my question to you is, Do you feel what Light was doing was ok, or do you disagree? Please, I ask that you give a reason to your answer, and try to make a logical if you can. Answers such as "He's wrong, he's killing people! and that's not right." Don't really get to a point...I mean you can use them, I'm just asking that you give a logical explination to your opinion..
