Mind's Tide

Wrote this like an hour ago. Anywho, a friend's gonna make it into a song so that's why I repeated that one verse. I'm really just too lazy to take it out.
Cast aside, floating above the depths
Feathers torn form the Devil’s beast
Soaked in blood and tears
We had to, had to feast
Screaming, the song of agony
The bird lost her flight
Echoing the torment of her fellows
Drowning in our bite.
The bubbles escaped
We did not
Claimed by the deep
We remain, forgot
We shredded, and burnt
There was no mercy that day
Bladed death came to her
It ended in a pitiful cry
Dragged her to the flame
Made her ash, made her black
Starved, we’d killed more than her
Our innocence gone, no coming back.
The bubbles escaped
We did not
Claimed by the deep
We remain, forgot
Deeds haunted
We ate our fill
Cleaned the remains
Prayed for no more blood spill
Naivety it was
There was no forgiveness to be found
Our minds were plagued
We ran to the ocean and drowned
The bubbles escaped
We did not
Claimed by the deep
We remain, forgot
The cries and please
Fell upon deaf ears
We acted on hunger
Consumed by fear
At the bottom, looking up
The birds no longer glide
Destroyed the last of the angels
We’re doomed to roll with the tide
The bubbles escaped
We did not
Claimed by the deep
We remain, forgot
Cast aside, floating above the depths
Feathers torn form the Devil’s beast
Soaked in blood and tears
We had to, had to feast
Screaming, the song of agony
The bird lost her flight
Echoing the torment of her fellows
Drowning in our bite.
The bubbles escaped
