Brief Moments of Time

I was walking down Deans Gate (a busy street in Manchester city centre) passing the usual shops, restaurants and cafes. It was around 4:30pm, the street was becoming crowded with people trying to get home and cars queuing one after another trying to get out before rush hour. Suddenly I felt I wanted to sit down and do some thinking on some of the work I done today at the university. So I decided to visit Nero (coffee shop I usually go to), as I entered through the glass door I noticed there is no queue and I thought to myself "yes, no queue for once...".
I walked up to the counter and ordered a Grande Mocha, but I opted without whip cream it would upset my stomach abit. Once my drink was ready I turned to the table a few steps infront of the counter and sit down facing the main door. I love the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and I feel relaxed whenever I sit in a cafe drinking coffee.
I took out some lecture notes and exercise sheets from my backpack. After reading a few of the papers, I picked up my coffee and drank some as the moments passes on. Roughly half an hour has passed on, I took my eyes away from the papers and tilted my head up to see the surround of the cafe. I yawned abit, my eyes started to look blood shot no doubt and abit teary. Always happens with me when I yawn and people mistaken for me being upset or something. Which probably explains why the girl behind the counter looked at me abit weird I guess, but I just smiled back. My eyes turned towards the other tables in front of me, I saw a lady reading some newspaper with her back towards me and near the cafe's front glass window (more like glass wall) soemone was drinking a Frappucino. The street was filled with cars by now and there is more people walking down the street than before.
I suddenly remembered, is Easter holiday soon with three weeks off, but there is three assignments to be handed in along with three big exams waiting and the main project/dissertations starts. Even is going to be holiday there will need to be alot of work done if I'm hoping to get myself some decent grade... "sigh" I hate the thought of all those reading. Give me a game manual any day I'll read that fine. At the same time Mitsuka is moving back to Japan the end of this month and there will be less time we talk. I wish she was sitting in front of me now, I miss her and I want to hug her.
"Future..." I thought to myself, I recalled my sister will be getting married soon towards later this year. Another gathering for friends and relatives, same questions and same talks in other gatherings... "How you doing?", "Got a girl friend yet?", "When you getting married?", "What career are you in?", or other topics about who had another child. Back on to that word... my study finishes in September and then where to... I was staring at the wall lamp to my right above me and lost in my own thoughts. I looked at my watch noticed it was 5:35pm already, I grabbed the papers and put them into my backpack. I got up from my table then exited the cafe and began to make my way home again.
*Just a typical thinking moment.*
