Absolute Anime

I wasn't really sure if I should start another one of these, but I overheard some people talking about an anime that in the first three minutes everyone dies. It sounded like the characters came back to life and that they took turns killing themselves and one another. Also the people said like the company that was translating stopped like half-way through the serious. I know there is a second season to it as well. It is a horror anime. I don't know...Any help would be awesome. Thank you to anyone that can shed some light on this.

I might be wrong about this, but I think you're talking about "When they Cry". I can't think of it's Japanese title at this time but that sounds similar to what you are describing.

I wasn't sure whether to make a new topic or just post my question here. I chose the latter, because it's my first time here and I wasn't sure whether it's ok to start a new topic if a similar one already exists.
So here goes:

I'm looking for the name of an anime I saw many years ago when I was just a kid. It was shown on a German music channel VIVA, and of course it was dubbed in German so I really didn't catch any character names or anything like that. It was about angel-like creatures (actually I think they might've been angels but I'm not sure ) with superhuman abilities.
The style of the animation was quite common - the figures were very tall and slender and as much as I remember really handsome. They were usually hanging around on the rooftops of skyscrapers and always seemed to be having really deep conversations with their backs turned to each other, or they were running around on walls (yeah, they could do that). It was always night and the moon was out, the enivronment was urban.
The atmosphere in general was really dark.

I looked at a few pictures from this series and it didn't really ring a bell. So I started watching the series itself and the beginning reminded me of something (angels, feathers falling! there were always feathers falling), but the rest didn't. Even when he transformed into Dark it wasn't the same. And I don't remember any school-children or parents or anything like that. But thanks anyway, I'll continue watching DNangel - maybe it'll hit me later.

But any other suggestions?

No, I've seen Angel Sanctuary, it wasn't it. But thanks anyway.

I have been trying to find a place on the internet where I could search animes by keywords etc, but no such place seems to exist (or does anyone know one?). There are sites with probably complete listings of all animes, but then there's no search engine available and I would have to go through them one by one which really isn't humanly possible.

So I'm going to bug you guys some more until I resort to that.

Haha, I realized how dumb it was to suggest something that was released so recently.

Don't really know of any sites like that (sorry), but how long ago was it when you watched it?

A few more suggestions:

X - The anime has a pretty dark atmosphere and the main characters look like angels. The problem is, it was the movie that came out in the 90's; I think the TV series began airing ~2001.

Descendants of Darkness - It might have angels, but I'm not sure. They're probably shinigamis.
It also ran at around 2000.

I watched it many years ago... Might have been 2001-2-3, something like that.

But that anime "X" really made me jump! I think it might be it, though I'm not sure. The wallpapers of that series were sure similar to what I remember; I'll start watching it tomorrow.

So anything like "X" is probably what I'm looking for. Feel free to suggest anything else!
