I think the only reason anyone would say this is cause when they start pretty much dancing around with the ball or when they start playing kick to kick with each other.

When I watch Soccer I watch it for the awesome goals and getting a laugh out of some of the good "tackles" not watching kick to kick and dancing.

Of course many sports do the kick to kick thing and it's annoying but I have yet to see someone do it more than a soccer player =P

I never said that soccer wasn't legitimate, all I said was getting kicked in the face does not make it a legitimate sport.

And you obviously have little understanding of American football.

Some of these hits these guys take would put normal people in hospitals. Not that that legitimizes the sport either, it's all in the spirit of competition.

It's the great games that make a sport great, the ones people talk about for years.

The only thing "rough" about soccer is some tackles and the riots that seem to break out often. I would go as far as to say cricket is more extreme in the fact, have you seen what a cricket ball does to you when you get hit? O.O. It leaves a bruise bigger than a soccer ball.

It isnt a football fool, its FOOT and I don't know what I'd prefer cause a foot to the head also cracks your skull. well in cech's cause it was a shin or a knee, i can't remember which but it equals PERMENANT BRAIN DAMAGE :O As you can see Cech wheres his funny helmet all the time now to keep his brain in XD
