bulbasaur's vinewhip and razor leaf techniques will help bulbasaur but i think spike will come out on top

Well Spikes character was modeled after Bruce Lee, so I think Spike will win

bulbasaur never beat bruce lee though so that is a weak argument.

a good argument would be that spike smokes which means he is tough

Bulbasaur because he'd deflect Spike's bullets with his razor leaf, tie him up with vine whip, and as for the smoking... He's a plant. Bulbasaur would just use Solar Beam to turn the smoke into oxygen.

Nice P!ATD siggy, but I beg to differ. All Spike would have to do is flick the cig on a dry leaf on Bulbasaurs's (?? O.o) back and it would be super effective. Plus, Spike has higher evasion than Bulbasaur and will most likely dodge most attacks.

But what level are the two of them? I'm assuming Bulbasaur is lower than level 16, since it would evolve then :? .

Thanks for the comp on my siggy. I <3 Panic!

Aha! But that's where you're wrong. Plants and living beings are actually highly resistant to burning. (I should know. :? I tried burning a mostly dead tree, but since there was still some water retained inside the bark, it wouldn't burn right away. >.< ) And living beings, animals and such, are about 90% water or something like that. So Bulbasaur wouldn't burn right away. He'd just shake it off. 8)

they would both die..
scenario:

spike fires a single shot at bulbasaur and bulbasaur fires one last rasor leaf at spike:

both projectiles connect in the forehead killing them immedietly

game over: the real question?:

who would win the next fight?

jet or ash?

Omg. Are you serious? That's not even a fight worth debating over. Jet would obviosly win.

That's where you are wrong, fire is super effective against grass type pokemon. Although a cigarette burn isn't going to be more powerful than ember, and it takes more than just one ember attack to beat bulbasaur. Still it will be damaging.

Bulbasaur doesn't have much going for him. He has good range but Spikes evasion is impressive and bulbasaur can't compete with the speed + range of a bullet. spike wins

Bulbasaur because you can PLAY as bulbasaur on Brawl. You can't PLAY as this spike [censored]...from some bebop show. :/

Actually you play Ivysaur. :-" So, your argument is, in fact, illegitimate. =p

Spike would own Pokemon Trainer anyway.
