lulz is simply the motivation for doing anything. For example, kick some beefy guy in the crotch from behind, then blame it on the person next to you by quickly moving. Why would you do it? for the lulz.
Same thing with this prank I came up with to do with my friends. Bringing a crapload of silverware into a restaurant then just leaving it all on the table for them to clean up.
So fox was half right in their saying that it's a corruption of lol.
That being said, what kind of thing would you expect from the far right? They were the ones that said that dogs and curtains keep anonymous outside of your home, and that people were having trouble signing up minorities because black people were afraid of water. I doubt that guy was a part of anonymous, because if he was smart enough he wouldn't have given out any of his personal information.
As for the guy who lost his girlfriend, I doubt that he ever had one one, and two, somebody probably set him up.

i ran funnily up to my mom tonight and punched her in the shoulder with my boob, then ran away and as soon as i got to my room, i found out she had chased me and tickled me sides and i fell over and hit my arm on my bed.
that was a good lulz.
