Absolute Anime

Has anyone else watched the anime series Mushi-shi? If so i was wondering what time period it is set in?

the only thing not boring about that anime is its opening song. thats all i know.

Thanks i've actually stated watching it and its not really boring to me. I actually really don't like the opening song myself.
