I received this error when I was trying to view a thread in Mindless Games, I refreshed a few times, and even tried opening the thread in a new tab - nothing. What happened?
Decisions to decisions are made and not bought, but I thought this wouldn't hurt a lot. I guess not.

There's several. It happened also with the "What're you listening to now" thread in Music discussions. I'm not sure if it's still happening today or not, because I just logged on.

I'll look into it. If it happens again can you cut and paste the entire URL from the browser of which page you were on. Some pages have more content and hit the database harder than others.

Found the problem. It appears that the database has a bad index. If you don't know what that means, don't worry. As a result the database has been restarting itself to try to fix it. I will see if we can rebuild all of the indexes manually if necessary to resolve the problem.

No. The problem was the database so in this case it was random. When the call to the database encountered a problem it would restart the database, which led to the error that you saw.

Yes. It was bouncing 5 or 6 times per minute. So, as the database would restart, it would work for a few second and then crash. It was an endless cycle that apparently started in the last 48 hours. Several people probably noticed it but just didn't report it.
