help me plz, can't remember name of this anime....

hi there
i remember an anime, i saw when i was just 6 or 7 years old. it was in italien TV. here a short description:
the main-characters are a little boy and a women(she look like human, but maybe she was'nt from earth, can't remember).
the boys father ist working on a project to save earth from a big asteroid or something thats taking corse to earth. i think they build some city under surrface, to escape from the asteroids impact. that projekt is top-secret. there are some funny agents who try to discover about that women and the project, but the boy can helt the woman to escape many times.
in the end the women ist the key to save all human. she use a starship to fligh to the asteroid and cause an explosion to destroi it. she only can do this and die in the end.
does enyone have a clou what anime it could be???
