Absolute Anime

I just started this series and, so far, love it!!!!! It's really good and I hope others see it too. Though, you would have to buy it.

I know there are at least two major Saiyuki fans here, myself and Hakkai. You can well guess who her favorite is. Mine is Gojyo!

BTW: I am going to move this to the Specific Anime forum, ok?

I never finished the series (went off the air when i was on vacation) but I thought Saiyuki was an awesome show, much better than that other anime based on Journey to the West (Cough Dragonball Cough). I liked the way they blended the setting between the past (older style towns and locations) with the present (guns, microchips, jeeps, etc). Kougaiji (not sure how to spell his name) was a really cool antagonist, and my favorite character is a tie between Sanzo and Kougaiji's sister (I can't remember her name, Its been about 6 months since I last saw this series)

I'm on saiyuki reload but the series is good and the movie! sanzo and hakkai mine!

You can keep sanzo but I want hakkai!!!!!

++For some reason it has a reputation of a chick anime ..... and I don't know why. It's not at all yaoi, the reparte between the characters sounds so juch like guys I know and there is kick butt action.

I can understand how guys could get turned off by all the angst in Knight Hunters but Saiyuki is such a great adventure.

I just watched the motion picture yestarday and it was amazing I really want too watch the show now. I love Gojyo he's awsome lol

Eh? a motion picture? I never heard anything about that. Do you mean the OVA (or Saiyuki Reload)?

The OVA they call it the Motion Picture on the case but other then that they just called it Saiyuki: Requiem of the one not Chosen
