In dont know if there is such thing as an american anime, but, if there is, it aint totally spies. That would bring shame and dishonor to the title of anime.

No, neither are an anime.

Wing, I beleive you mean Winx Club was created in Italy. And Totally Spies was made in France.

When people say anime, I've always had the impression they were refering to Japanese animation. With so many animated series that tries to look like an anime poping up lately, (trying to cash in on anime's popularity if you asked me.)
Maybe we should go back to the now hated word "Japanimation" for anime. It would clear up what's what.

No! Curse that word! That is what my anime-hating classmates refer to it as.

Well we got to do something. I'm tired of stuff like Totally Spies and Winx Club being confused for anime.

I know some one will point out Teen Titans, to me that's a dog of a different color. I know it is not anime, Teen Titans has been around since I think the 70's or 80's maybe even longer. Through it never looked like it's current animated series does.

And if you compair the current style that WB series like the Justice League, Superman and Batman are done, they are not anime in style really. They look more like the animation of old, back from the 40's and 50's only updated for today.

But a word is still needed for these anime wannabe shows.
