I was recently at my local bookstore. while browsing the manga I noticed a new TRIGUN book.
the TRIGUN ani-manga.
this book is basically a graphic novel which uses the actually images from the show.

if you didn't like the manga, but want to know the show, get the ani-manga.

quite frankly, if you really want the trigun experience, I would advise buying the 3 disc set from amazon.com. it has the show in japanese and american.

I got mine for $20 or $30

mind you, that's the THREE disc set.
Pioneer's 8 disc set will (no pun intended) set you back $150-ish.

and my previous price was a rough estimate.

Hey, let me get this straight. The 8-disk set, does it have any special features or does the 3-disc set not have all the episodes?

there is one MAJOR difference.

the three disc set has two versions of the complete series.
English.
Japanese.<subtitles can be enabled>

The 8 disc does not.

However, my brother has loaned me the 8 disc set on occasions before I obtained mine.

The 8 disc set has certain extras like concept art.

Also, both versions have an option to play just the opening and closing credits.
But, the 3 disc version has the individuals silent.
When played with an episode there is sound, but when the feature is selected from the 3 disc, it is silent.

The 8 disc plays them with full sound.

so, unless you don't want it in japanese and NEED concept art, just buy the 3 disc set and do yourself a favor.

remember, if you or your parents have credit cards, use amazon.com to purchase the set.
They have great bargains.
(I got The DBZ-Broly Movie for $8 brand new)
