Absolute Anime

What exactly is the foxbox? Is it Fox's attempt to ruin every north american person's ideas of anime? It seems like all of their shows are anime, or at least trying to be, and not of one of them is actually worth watching. Not only do they all use the same voice cast, they feature such terrible storylines and characters and...well...it just sucks. I could just ignore these shows, except for the fact that they're disgracing anime terribly.Yes, even worse than Beyblade or Yugioh. What happened to fox's old shows, like escaflowne and digimon? Those were pretty good. Sigh...they're even disgracing video games now: Sonic, Kirby, F-Zero...Down with FoxBox I say!

Oh right, and before anyone gets too pissed, let me just say that Shaman King isn't too terrible a show. I mean, it's not stellar but it's pretty good compared to the other shows on the foxbox. Also, I commend the FoxBox for not making any shows with lamer concepts than fighting food. They really raised the bar for lameness with that one.

toonami is ok for anime! it has outlaw star! i wish sci-fi would do the anime/manga movies friday night.. not anymore... all they got is programs at 5 in the mornin on the odd occasion

i like the fox but i want the old foxkids back even if the shows were good the first season i still want the old foxkids it was better you cant have shaman king and cramp twins on the same cartoon block

I so agree with you Sanoska. I hear that digimon really sucks now, but for at least the first season it was pretty damn good to watch. And Fox was much better off without shows like " The winx club" and " Funky Cops"...<Shudder>

Canada tends to get better anime on television than the USA. Check out YTV. At least when you get anime, most of it's uncut, such as <i>Gundam SEED</i>. Incidentally, did you know that distributor Viz and dub firm The Ocean Group are both based in Vancouver? Anyway, if you can get an anime in the USA, you can pretty much get it in Canada (or have it sent to you). Since they agree on television standards and DVD regions (both being part of DVD region 1), an American DVD is basically a Canadian DVD, too (unless you need a French track).

Now, 4Kids may be terrible when it comes to anime dubbing, but hey, they're catering to kids on broadcast networks with super-tight standards of decency. At least they're in cahoots with FUNimation to provide clean versions of some of their series.

That's completely true, but I'm referring to the fact that the U.S has cartoon network and other channels to give them access to anime, and Canada is stuck with just YTV. Now, it's not too terrible but I'd really prefer to have more. I was also aware of the Ocean Group.

wat are you talking about stopping them or some new show they were going to make i once heard about a seqeul and prequel to theme but it was a long time ago and i think it was suppose to come out already
P.S.-digimon season is the best season 2 is second best 3sucked 4 was ok

i so agree with you about the digimon series and who are the original digidestan they talk about in season one maybe it's the people from season 4 maybe not

Fox box Just ruins ONe pIEce for people who use that as their one piece nourishment. Just get the anime from e-bay. It's worth the money. LIke i said, it's one helluva ride.

I used to like sonic the original series. FoX BoX was pretty alright.
