In my opinion, being cold doesn't really mean you're insane. It's just his personality. He probably doesn't trust anyone anymore.

everybody...listen...sasuke (honestly, and no hard feelings) is an ass hole, all he wants is revenge without thinking about others...he's the kind of guy that hates everybody that likes him, and loves everybody that hates him...sorta...he is indeed looking pretty good, but that's not enough...
