in the game it goes ssj and then ssj2 but in the show people say that he only goes ssj grade 2 so which one is it?

i dont think so Goku, Vegeta or Trunks couldn't go to SSj 2 it was only Gohan who can.

but they were all constantly going on about acending a super saiyan(especially Vegeta)and that they would not give up until they did,and they also call this acended saiyan level a super saiyan 2(like when Goku fought with Majin Buu)and they had reached it by the time they fought Cell in the Cell games

true but it was Gohan who was the only one able to go to SSj2 if the Goku, Vegeta and Trunks was able to do that they would of beated Cell not Gohan. Goku, Vegeta and Trunks could of only go to SSj1 not 2.

Trunks never went SSJ2, he can turn into SSJ1, SSJ second grade, and ultra SSJ (thats the one with really big muscles that he used to fight cell)
he never went SSJ2.
