you know it makes you wonder if she ever changed in front of Yuichi after all he did say she was an escape for his heart.

We'll have to wait and find out. After all, until the attack, she never knew when her alter ego would take over, and Yuiichi did notice that something wasn't quite right with her (he mentioned it at least once).

If you're talking about when she was at the hospitol and he said "I think you need to see a doctor" Well, it did show her waking from Maria state into her own only to see she was with him. I don't know if you noticed but when ever Maria left it would show her open her eyes and the darkness clear. She did that in front of Yuichi.
