you're quite welcome. and i bet it did take a long time. they're very in depth. someone just told me what gomen meant. but i don't remember. does that phrase mean thank you (formal)? if it does i will have to tell him i remembered.

It means either "I'm sorry" or "I'm very sorry" And if I got the spelling wrong, anyone, you may correct me.
But I do know how to say it:
(goh-meh-neh) is "I'm sorry"
(goh-meh-nai-nah-sai) is "I'm very sorry"
