Has anyone read these?

On my plane ride to the UK, I decided that I would read manga and catch up on school summer reading. I was totally dreading it. But I finished and started these two excellent books. One was called A Separate Peace, by John Knowles, and the other was called No-No Boy, by John Okada. A Separate Peace is about a group of students who attend an all boys prep school and the struggles they face as being part of the WWII genereation. I finished it and it had a sad ending. IT'S NOT HISTORICAL AND BORING! READ IT! No-No Boy is about a Japanese American who is 25 and returns to his family in Seattle after being in a war camp and in prison. He faces many hardships and so on. I haven't finished it, but it's really good so far. While it's hard to refrain from reading some good manga, reading some good books is good 4 u. I highly recommend them. Has anyone else here read them?

I've read A Separate Peace...and then I had to do a huge portfolio on it for English class  It was boring until i got half way through, but then it got pretty good. I haven't read No-No Boy yet but knowing my school I'll probably have to at some point
