ArgentoSoma - one viewer's reveiw

ArgentoSoma’s action/mecha premise is nothing new but it has enough plot twists to keep it fresh. It did take something like 8 episodes for the characters to unfold and allow me to connect with them but when they did, they were quickly added to my list of "all time favorites."
It also took me about 8 episodes to get used to all the disappearing noses. What were the character designers thinking?! Once I did get used to the nose thing, I did discover that character emotion was conveyed through extraordinarily expressive mouths. Still, for me, a more traditional character style would have made the show even more enjoyable.
The animation is a bit spotty, with plenty of fully animated action sequences and just as many barely-animated ones
The English dub was pretty good but the music in general is nothing memorable except for a closing theme that really sucked.
On my scale of one to ten, it’s an 8.5 (8 = Extremely engaging. Makes me anxious for the next episode. A series I might buy.)
