Description: Hitohira

Hitohira begins with Mugi and her best friend Kayo, upon seeing their numbers among the accepted Mugi yelled "I GOT IN!" only to be heard by nearby Drama Research Society members (all three of them) who are astounded by her voice believing that she is very talented and takes vocal lessons. As we find out early on Mugi is very shy and hates speaking in public (Kayo recalls in middle school Mugi stammering and flailing her arms about when she had to introduce herself) however when the Drama Research Society members come to force Mugi's classmate Kai Nishida (brother to current member Risaki) to join they recognize her and manage to trick her to joining despite her explaining that she could never act in a play.

As it turns out the Drama Research Society needs their membership to stay a club thus allowing them to compete against the Drama Club and, to Mugi's horror, they will perform two plays one of which to decide who will be forced to disband forever! Naturally Mugi volunteered to do any backstage or set work however with the small number of members everyone must act in the plays. At first Mugi plans to quit but after growing close to the members and enjoying her time spent with them she decides to try her best and stay.

Mugi must learn how to find the words when it comes to; saving the club she loves, finding the truth behind DRS president Nono and DC president Mirei's rivalry, and supporting a friend in a difficult situation. Basically Hitohira is a sweet slice of life story that leaves you smiling at the end of every episode and crossing your fingers that Mugi will find her voice(literally) when it counts most.
