Description: Speed Racer X

In this (short-lived) modernized remake of the popular Speed Racer series, the Mach 5 is a powerful racing car that was built by Pops Racer. The car is also equipped with the powerful "X Engine." However, during the Mach 5's testing, a horrible accident takes the life of his son Rex Racer.

Pops then decides rebuild damaged Mach 5 and equips it with the "Safety Seven" which are different devices that were built into the Mach 5 for various purposes in order to protect the driver. The X Engine (which survived the accident) is also retained in the car. Pops' second son, Speed Racer enters the Grand Prix in memory of his lost brother Rex.

As Speed works his way up as a professional racer, the family discovers an even more amazing secret involving the Mach 5 that may determine the future of the world itself.....
