Added the character profile of Sango (from Inu-Yasha). Also made a bunch of various additions and corrections to profiles.
All right, so let's see what's been going on this month. I couldn't really think of anything to write when I made the previous updates, but I'm sure something must have happened. Hmmmm. Well, yesterday I visited Treeses at her work. She called to say that one of the programs crashed while they were using it and now it gives an error whenever they try to start it. So I came by to see if I could be any help and to bring her some lunch. When I got there I messed with it a little, and discovered that their main hard drive was completely full. It was around a gigabyte sized hard drive, and they only had about two megs left. I'm sure that this probably helped caused the initial problem, but I didn't know if getting more space back would fix it or not. So I copied a temp folder that was taking up a lot of space to a separate hard drive, and deleted to large .dmp files. This gave about 500 megs free, but the program still wouldn't work. Treeses finally got a hold of the program's tech support people, and they told her to run this one compact and repair program in the programs directory. After doing that, the program worked fine.
We then went home to have lunch, which was leftover Chinese from the night before. We watched the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon while we ate. I must say that this new cartoon is much better than the old one, but it's definitely still geared towards children (I mean, they built a hover car!). Anyway, I took her back to work after it was over, then just came home and worked on some more anime profiles.
Okay, so that was one day... what else has been going on? Hmmm, well I guess I could list all the movies we've watched. There was The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course, 8 Mile, Shine, Nazca: Eternal Power, Simone, The Sum of All Fears, I Spy, Swimfan, The Ring, Signs, Knockaround Guys, Taboo, Super Troopers, Road to Perdition, The Tuxedo, One Hour Photo, Stealing Harvard, Formula 51, The Adventures of Pluto Nash, Willow, Rollerball, Hades Project: Zeorymer #1, Linkin Park, Kung Pow: Enter the Fist, One Night at McCool's, Rat Race, We Were Soldiers, and Animal Farm (thank you, NetFlix history).
Out of all those movies, the only two that really stand out as great movies are We Were Soldiers and 8 Mile. Then there were a few movies that weren't great but were still entertaining. These were The Crocodile Hunter, I Spy, and Rat Race. All the rest of the movies were either fairly boring, completely boring or just plain awful. The worst was a tie between Super Troopers and Rollerball. But that's okay, because they're in different categories... or at least they're supposed to be. Super Troopers was meant to be comedy, and Rollerball was made as an action flick, yet they can both be filed under the section of "the most boring, idiotic crap in the universe".

Luckily I noticed it like the day after I made the mistake and was able to fix it promptly.
Whew! That's all the profiles I had sitting on my desktop for the past several weeks. Feels good to finally have that all out of the way. Ah, the freedom! Well, I guess it's time to catch you all up on what's been going on.
Today we bought a digital programmable thermostat. We're hoping that it will help cut down on the heating and cooling bills. Installation started off good... until we actually tried to take the old thermostat off the wall. Turns out we didn't have a screwdriver that was the right size, so we had to back out and get one. Things went smoothly after that... except that our wiring scheme wasn't shown in the instructions and wiring it the same was as the old one didn't quite work. But anyway, we finally figured it out, so we'll see how it works.
Also today Treeses had to go into work to finish up some paperwork and such. I came with her, and played Metroid on my Game Boy Advance the whole time. I got pretty far too, and I didn't even need to use the Afterburner light that I had installed. My batteries were kind of low when I started, so that helped a lot. Oh, and before we went there we had lunch at Denny's. We both had the roast beef melt... mmmmmmm... roast beef melt... mmmmmmm...
On Thursday Treeses brother came to Redding for a meeting, and we were supposed to meet and have dinner. Unfortunately he had Treeses' work number incorrect, and nobody was at the house when he called, so by the time I got home he had already left for Sacramento. He was actually supposed to come up the day before, but his meeting was postponed.... well actually, he was really supposed to come up a week ago but his meeting was postponed then too. Oh well, I'm sure he'll come up here again.
On Sunday (February 16) we drove down to my parents house. Treeses drove all the way down while I played Metroid on Game Boy Advance for most of the way. When we finally arrived, I went to take a look at their computer, as it has gotten messed up somehow, kind of like it was stuck in safe mode, except it wasn't in safe mode. After fiddling with it for a little, I got it working properly again, and we all headed out for dinner and a movie. We ate at Fresh Choice, where I got a really awesome salad and some pasta. It's a buffet style place, except that they don't have very much to choose from and all the plates are the size of a saucer (except for the plate you get for salad at the entrance). Still, it was good. Then we went to see The Recruit. It wasn't something I was dying to see, but there really weren't that many decent choices available. It did had some good acting, but overall it was just boring. Not as boring as some of the other movies we've seen recently (coughSuperTrooperscough), but boring nonetheless.
