It is the year 2022,the U.S.A. has become a wasteland. Few "normal" humans, which is now a rare term in these dark days, have gathered together and have made an underground resistence. The U.S government is in chaos and nearly all wiped out.
Due to its own mistake of causing the hazard that has made their own country a wasteland. In 2010, the U.S government had told its citizens that a virus was dumped in the american water supply by an unkown terrorist. Supposely, it had infected many citizens and regarded that they should go to the nearest hospital to get blood samples to determine if some people were "infected" or not. What they american people did not know, was that there was never a virus.
The american government wanted to collect blood samples, dubbed: Project: Hero, its purpose was to create a sort of "superhuman". Making daily experiments on blood samples from different people, they finally found a "solution" and tested it on volunteers from the army, FBI, CIA and Police departments nationwide to serve the U.S.A. But the government made a huge mistake, Project Hero wen't horribly wrong.
In 2017, The government did in fact create heroes, but only 5 experiments were successfull, 4 sucessfull experiments help the human underground resistence, allthough 1 experiment in fact commited suicide because he could not control his "abbilities".
By 2019, Other test subjects, became something hideous, something that wasn't ever supposed to be alive on this earth. These "Horrors" were savage zombie like people, wakling as if they were undead. Some had no consciousness of what they did, this is mostly the reason for why the U.S is a wasteland, whoever they bit, got contaminated, they killed flora and fauna, their mere presence makes everything around a person feel, Sad....
The real virus, named by heroes and humans, "The Horror Virus", has infected almost a 70% of the american population. The worst horrors, are the ones who are called "Doomed Horrors", Are the ones who still have consciousness of what their doing, realizing they have powers and abbilities that they had never had before, they became the leaders of the many Horror's armies.
At the brink of a new year, Ex-U.S army general, Malcom Jackson, now a Doomed Horror & leader of the Horror's many armies also now the head figure of the "U.S government", declared war on the Human resistance and any other human nation that would oppose him.
Knowing that such tyranny cannot continue, the underground human resistance movement, or UHRM, lead by sucessfull experiment #1, has decided to oppose General Jackson, with support from the 3 other sucessfull hero experiments, and support by other nations such as Russia, Japan & China, the UHRM may have a chance to create from a wasteland, a place they could call home again...
