Forgotten Lance: The Castle that Time Forgot

A small figure makes his way towards the Elfsong in the distance. A slight breeze tosses his brown hair about as the Halfling glances at the figure sitting outside. A smirk plays about his face as he gives Nia a smack on the rear, "Man he knows how to pick them... Toots you might want to make your way back inside...."

He vanishes through the doors before anything else can happen.

Inside the crowded place he nimbly makes his way through the people before climbing up on the bar. Looking about he seems to pick out certain people his eyes lingering on each of them before coughing much to loudly and drawing the taverns attention to him.

Pacing up and down the bar he speaks, "Ladies and gentlmen....Some of you at least... I'm here looking for some of you brave souls to make quest to the Onyx Castle."

Laughter meets his words as the bartender speaks up, "Halfling no-one can get close to that place. Many have tried so what makes you think one like you can even do it?"

The Halfling smiles, "I am Kalbren Running-Ghost and I bring a peice of the castle wall with me. If you like I can show it to you..."

Reaching into his pouch he withdraws a brick of Onyx... Silver streaks run along the piece like lightning and the bartender along with most people close to Kalbren are flung away by the power of that single brick.

A soft chuckle comes from his lips, "This brick will choose the party...."

Oswald looked at the Halfling. ''The Onyx Castle, that is why I have come here'', he thought. He stood up, raised his hand and said:

- I am willing to accompany you, old chap, if that is fine with you, and that brick of yours - said Oswald looking at the Halfling

Ethryl ceases his actions and looks at Oswald and then the halfling. He giggled to himself then looked at the two again, "You really think you can 'escort' this Halfling where he needs being? You couldn't even escort a fly across the room." Ethryl stood there, his sword hanging out of one hand and his other free, bleeding hand across his waist. Ethryl was a healer of many things and healed the wound on his hand quite quickly. He pointed at Oswald, "Anyways, what makes you think you could possibly join him?"

Nia, startled by the smack to her butt, walked inside and followed the halfling as if she were his pet. She already wore a conspicuous collar around her neck and a leash hung out from her napsack that hung over her shoulders. Nia touched the ending points of her katanas to see if they were still there and in tact. Nia shrugged off a sigh of relief. "So what the crap is this about now?" Her attention quickly diverted to the stone the halfling was holding on to. Before she knew it she was touching the cool stone then looking to he who held it. "So what's so great about this stone? It's just cool, that's all."

Oswald turned to Ethryl. He took his umbrella and disarmed Ethryl.

- Please, chap, I am not here to fight. This limp is killing me and, besides, I am not planning on wasting any of my time with you. Your cheerfull appearence says everything to me. Now, old chap, what is with the stone? - he asked the halfling again.

He then noticed Nia behind him.

- Oh, chap, you should take care of your companion there, she seems bewitched by the piece of cork the halfling is holding - added Oswald to Ethryl with a low voice

Ethryl glared at Oswald. "Are you trying to talk with a low voice? You still sound like a girl. And next time," He point his sword at Oswald again. "next time you try to remove my weapon, I'll slice your throat open."

Osawld noticed the blade near his head. He again took his umbrella and disarmed Ethryl.

- Are you stupid or deaf? Get that thing away from me. I am not planning on fighting you know. I have more interesting things to take care of right now. And a nuisance like you is not one of them - said Oswald

"You're trying to hard to disarm me, [censored]." Ethryl put his sword back up to Oswald. "You're going to have to deal with pain later in the game. nuisances and other. I'm not stupid nor deaf. But you have to learn. I'm not aiming to fight you nor hurt you in any manner really. Just suck it up and blow it out your ass, chap."

- Oh, dar Lord - said Oswald. He took his umbrella again, disarmed Ethryl, again, bu this time he took his sword and threw it on the wall opossite him. The sword stayed in the wall.

- Now, take your sword and get lost. I have no intention to fight you, but I cannot guarantee of your swords safety. Now, take your silly weapon and get lost. As I said, I have more important things to take care of - said Oswald and went limping in the halfling's dierction.

- Bloody idiot - said Oswald for himself as he was approaching the halfling

Ryin laughed so hard on how inmature the two guys where. He got up very gracefully to new gentlemen that came in to the travern. He look at Nia that was a bit pissy already and the others where just still starring at him with no answer yet. "I will go and try my best on whaterever it is."

Drake turns from the bar and looks at Ethryl and Oswald

"Cut it out Oswald, Ethryl has more of a weapon then you do. your lucky that i don't ripe it to shreds."

Drake then look over at the rock the little man was holding and walked over to him and placed his hand apon it.

"How did you manage to get so close to the castle?"

Shade grabbed Ethryl's arm twisting it behind his back and pressed her sword to his neck "No I am only wishing to bring you with us, we might need your help. . ." She looked over Ethryl's shoulder at the Halfling and Oswald.

Mist stealthed her blades and watched Shade. She looked towards Drake then to the Halfling.

Ryin look at the rock again and touch it. He look at the others hoping they would come to the journy with him and Drake. He been thinking it might need several people that are very skilled in combat.

Ethryl sighed and disappeared, grabbing his sword he headed outside. "You're all a pain in my ass."

Oswald noticed Ethryl leaving. He looked at the halfling again.

- A rather awkward fellow, that guy - remarked Oswald for himself

Ryin let go of the rock and look at Ethryl frown. Something was odd about his behavior. He thought if he was so upset and a angry person he would have killed someone without caring or thinking and he didn't. He fallow Ethryl. "May i ask what is going on. Is something wrong?"

Shade watched Ethryl and Ryin leave. She frowned slightly and looked at the Halfling "You can count me in." She walked out following Ethryl and Ryin. She smirked as she walked up to Ethryl touching the side of his face gently "Oh I didn't upset you did I?"

Mist watched Shade and sighed shaking her head "Shade. . ." She looked at everyone still in the tavern.
