thats pretty much what happened to inuyasha, it started to become endless and it ended at the 112th volume!! XDD (here, it was the 112th volume.)

I always get nervous when I get close to the end of a good anime series...sometimes I even put it off so it won't be over

I've done that before (Gundam SEED Destiny) and should have done it with Moribito. Although, now, I'm starting to get my eyes on Sengoku Basara.

I hate it when good anime series could have gone on longer, but they squish the final events into one or two episodes because of some stupid reason. I hate it when the ending is rushed. >(

That's kinda how I felt with Buso Renkin's anime ending. It just felt rushed and jumbled until the last like ten minutes.

That happens to most animes, either that or they drag it out, forever. Nothing ever seems to end where it should

Hm, not necessarily. After something goes on too long, it starts to get old. You can't really prevent that. The writers must be at least somewhat decent to make a big and popular anime, they just run out of ideas trying to keep the viewers satisfied.

What I mean is that they should know WHEN to end it and how to DECENTLY end it without dragging it on, trying to keep viewers happy. There has to be an equilibrium between viewer happiness and well-being of the show.
