does anyone know the name of this anime film?

My friend saw a anime fill about 11 years ago, but she cant remember the name of it. all she can remember is that it had a female 'dragon guardian' lead character, she might have protected several elemental dragons (she remembers that there was a air dragon and a water dragon), somehow she fails them and kills herself, but the dragons revive her.
