Escaflone – On a scale of 1 to 10, a 8.5. I’d rate it higher but I never really liked the way the characters were drawn. It’s tough for me to suspend enough belief to get completely passed the ski jump noses. There’s a “magic girl” transported to an alternate universe, a mecha that can only be operated by a young man who happens to be the king of a defeated empire ….. who’s evil brother is out to kill him …. and he sprouts angle wings in cases of emergency. There is an annoying cat-girl, a noble, handsome knight with deep secrets and more. The flying ships are a hoot. Battle is a combo of sci-fi and medieval siege and it’s a lot of fun. It’s a must see. There is a follow up movie and, although it is drawn better than the TV series, I didn’t find it as satisfying. 8 = Extremely engaging. Makes me anxious for the next episode. A series I might buy.

I thought this series was awesome! I loved the animation ...kinda angelic like animation, very flowly lol
I have seen all eps, and the movie, the movie was just great, I recomend you watch it, when ya done with the series. I would give this anime about 8.5/10 ^^

I really love this show. It was the first anime I've ever seen and its still one of my favorites. The movies is awsome too. I've seen it so many times but its stil sooo goood. I wish they would put it back on tv cuz im to cheap to actually go out and buy it lol.

hey..like Kinou_Himmel Escaflowne was the first anime i ever saw....probably because that's my best friend and was the first person i watched anime with but that was years ago...anyway i loved the shows and i loved the movie(except Folken didn't have his haicut and the acide drop on his cheek) and again like Kinou i'm too cheep to buy the movies so i want it put back on TV

I was wondering if anyone else remembers back in the day on Fox Kids, they used to show Escaflowne. The series and the movie are both great, Prince Van was a good concept of a character he was the Prince of a Dragonkin nation. After he kills his brother he is the only one left. What didnt make sense is that he is part Dragon why did he have angel wings?
