R.O.D. is the story of a select group of people known as "Paper Masters". Paper Masters have the amazing ability to manipulate paper in practically any way imaginable. Put it this way: it gives a whole new meaning to the term "paper cut".

There are two stories. First is the 3-episode OVA (also known as Read or Die). The Paper Master in this story is Yomiko "Paper" Readman, a unique agent for the Royal Library. It was released by Manga in 2002 and is in fact coming to Cartoon Network's Adult Swim on October 23rd.

Fast forward 6 years and you have the TV series (known both by the names Read or Dream and R.O.D. the TV). There are three teenage Paper Masters in this series who came together because of their unqiue powers. Released by Geneon last summer, it is now airing as part of G4TechTV's Anime Unleashed.
