Samurai Deeper Kyo - another for Parn!

Post by Dark Lilly »

Just finishing up another I think will suit your taste. Here's what the disc sleeve says:

"During the epic battle of Sekigahara, two samurai with deadly agendas fought separately from the rest of the battle. As Kyoshiro and Demon Eyes Kyo dueled, a shooting star slammed into the Earth, engulfing them both. Years later, the one who survived discovers that he harbors the spirit of his rival deep within himself -- and when that spirit awakens, the real battle is unleashed!"

The first disc is kind of fluffy but it gains momentum as it goes along. I've got one episode to go and am quite satisfied with it. Not in my top ten but a darn good one.

i have the entire series on DVD, it ok, but man the animation sucks so much, i have never seen anything drawn so bad. When they fight, all it is are pictures with crappy sound effects. thank god the story is cool, and how the characters act to one another.
but yeah the animation is horrible.

I guess the story and characters were good enough that I didn't notice the animation as being particularly bad. I'm not saying it was great or even good but I didn't see it didn't detract from the experience.

Thanks bunches for your comment.

"Thanks bunches for your comment" sounded hollow. What I really want to convey is a sincere thank you for participating in the discussion.

the best character in this show was...what's his face that one michel dude, the guy with a huge proton cannon on his arm. he was so awesome. and when he starts blowing up the forest, that was totaly sweet.

His name is Magalia.

Go to Anime Profiles above. Click on "S". Look for Samurai Deeper Kyo and click on it. Then scroll down to the character list. Click on character names until you get the person you are looking for. If the name is in blue, there will be a picture and a charcter description

Here's Magalia:

the info in your first post makes this anime seem pretty damn cool. not just like 'watch Ash & freinds on their mystical adventure' but it actually gives you something to think about. i want to see this anime! And Magalia looks alright. I doubt the animations could steal the story line away (although i haven't seen the anime, so i could be wrong, coz i dont know the actual story line) i wanna go watch!

If I told you I'd have to kill you.

Just kidding. But if I told you here, someone would probably kill me for spoiling it for them. I'll pm you later with the answer.

I don't like the anime, but the manga is really good. I don't understand why they only did 28 episodes when the manga is 28 books?

The worst thing about the anime is that all the bad guys is turned in to monsters (kenyou?)But for example, White Crow and Black Scorpion is not monsters in the manga (not litteraly speaking)

They probably did one episode for each book.
