emo, you'll find, isnt as depressing as cold play. and thats Indie. you cant just SAY that you hate emo without giving a specific cause for your argument, as it will lead to, and spark off flame wars for those who like emo, such as myself, and those who don't. please provide a good reason for this statement.

I hate that word so much now. I mean every has EMOTIONS. If you think youre emo then you are either to scared to admit that you want to be goth or are just feeling sorry for yourself. GET OVER IT ALREADY.

its strange tho. people say emo is all about suicide, wrist slitting, etc. the only emo band i've listend to that sings about suicide is HIM. and then, its in a romantic way, just like Romeo & Juliet.

you define emo's as those who dont conform. if they dont conform, why do they conform to be emo? these people are just wanting to be different

um... yeah emos arnt nessiarily depressed all the time. emo=emotional. you could have a happy emotion. there for you can be a happy emo. like my bf. hes emo but hes sweet, and hes kind and happy. not all emos cut there wrists and hit there parents. thats a fraudulent persona that needs to be put to rest.

If you think emo are posers, then they're not really emo. Emo in other words is emotional, and sometimes it's a label for a person who is somewhat sensitive. But it's not all about being sensitive; emo culture has a way of expressing their selves. Most true emo people are homosexual mainly because it's the emo "style". o_O Especially guys.

I don't hate or dislike emo at all because I'm a bit of a fan of yaoi and stuff.

The other emo music; I often listen to them. And it's not about cutting their wrist and stuff, that's just stereotyping. "Ohhh emo people sooo cut their wrist!" -.-

Suicidal? No way. Most emo songs are NOT suicidal, they are just emotional. If you think suicidal, you don't know suicidal. Death metal may be suicidal.

Another thing, there is a big difference between emo and gothic. Gothic is more darker, and it's not emotional. Just dark or dull. Also different styles, in a way.
