I actually rather like the yaoi in most anime shows. One of the ones I most support is probably Hiei/Kurama. I just think it's a kind of cute relationship. It isn't really 'screwing up the coolness' of Yu Yu Hakusho because maybe it's making it more interesting for someone else. They just like looking at Yu Yu Hakusho like that. Besides, it's something of a bishojo (Girls Anime) because it has four hott guys in it so sometimes they might just twist it to form yaoi.

But that's my opinion, you don't have to agree with it.

I assure you that your precious American children are running across sexual content in school from their classmates more often than from anime. And I actually think that a little bit of shounen-ai is a good idea; it teaches something called tolerance. Americans are definitely in need of that, considering how many different cultures make up the population - that's why they call us "the Melting Pot" after all.

Besides, if you want complete safety for your younger children, you're the one responsible for acquiring filters for all the graphic imagery on the Internet. You're the one responsible for blocking off channels that are marked unsuitable for children. And they usually edit anything above PG before airing the show during times when children are supposed to be awake - you wouldn't believe how badly they mangled Cardcaptor Sakura so they could show it to American children, and that was supposed to be for children in Japan! Perhaps Americans are a little too stuffy with their young...?
