IWAV came out first, but it was set in a time after QOTD, however, the whole movie is Lestat re-counting events from his whole life, up until Louis dies.

So they are related sort of, but they arent really in a series. In the book series, QOTD comes out first, followed by 'The Vampire Lestat'
Then the author Anne Rice, made a third book with the same characters, which is set after the two books, but re-counts events before and after the two books in the series. So....yeah
In the movies IWAV came out first followed by QOTD

W/E!!! I love the movie, and i didn't even know there was a book! how cool . There are good movies from books other than LOTR... there's Harry Potter, Planet of the Apes, and Swiss Family Robinson!-but i didn't really like the planet of the apes book-

this is my all time fave dark-movie..her books are even better i love anne rice along with jkr....anne rice blood canticle was so confusing im waiting for it to come out in movie-but vittorrio the vampire was an awsome book also!!
