User Groups

Post by webmaster »

So... anybody want to get some user groups going? This phpBB software has the ability to create user groups, just so far I haven't thought up any groups to create, other than the Moderators group. So if you think you have a good idea for a group, lets hear about it. Each group needs one Manager (which phpbb also calls a moderator), so once you think up a group, you'll also have to nominate a manager.

When you're ready, send me a private message telling me the group's name, the group's description, and the group's moderator.

It seems clans are starting to form judging by some of the threads in pointless. Maybe they would be a start.

I agree with Symos, that the clans that seem to be forming would make some good groups. Ther is like one RP guild that has surved since last year. I think that the "Homunculus" are clan, since they all seem to have in their name. So that would be one of them. Looking at the sigs of some poeple, there seems to be a "Sweetheart" clan too. But those are just the ones I noticed. Seems like a good idea though, I've seen it done on many other forums. Sounds like good idea to me though ^^

♥ Sweethearts Clan ♥

The sweethearts of AA are here to brighten your day and your heart. ^.~ We are kind, sweet, and generally nice. Also we have homemade cookies ^.^ This club is open to women and gay guys. The sweethearts are semi-flirts who know where to draw the line. Currently I am devising a welcoming idea for new members to make them feel really welcome ^.^ This clan encourages friedship between all its members and can help bring people together ^.^

I am the manager and founder of the ♥ Sweethearts Clan ♥ . Also since I can tell Eiri_Yuki is enthusiastic about this, HE will be the moderator ^.^ We have eight members last I checked.

Okay, that group has been created:

Currently, the groups link is near the very bottom of the page. Eventually I'll move it up near the top somewhere.

ah neato

My group is the Homunculus clan

Our group is made up of homunculi who are willing to live up to their name. Fma and homunculi fans are welcome to join us anytime. We already have 10 members for it. I'll be the manager for it since I created it. ^^ We have a good time there talking about shows and the homunculi. So since the club is already so popular I'll make this for their support on the club

Perhaps there could be a password protected sub forum for the clans to have meetings and disscussions and such or something similar?

:| A password protected sub forum? In a way that can be good, and in a way that could be bad. What if you get some users that decide to bash on another user that isn't in that club and can't see?

My question is: Hw do we distinguish people who are from certain groups? Is it possible that there be some form of tag? (similar to the moderator status tag perhaps?)

I request the forming a group called The Oreichalcos Legion please.

I have a reason for using a different spelling to what is officially given.

So..Like, you're just going to make a group for those requested? That'll be ALOT of groups.... :-s 8-[ :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :-s :| ... :-s
I felt like a race horse in a world without racetracks or a champion college footballer suddenly confronted by Wall Street and a business suit, his days of glory shrunk to a little gold cup on his mantel with a date engraved on it like a tombstone.
