Is Halo overrated?

I don't know about the rest of you but I think Halo and Halo 2 are seriously overrated.

Despite how I love playing the game, yes, I agree that it's slightly overrrated.

It only takes something so long before it just gets over and done with and just...boring.

Halo 2 wasn't as cut out as I'd thought it would be, but it wasn't bad neither. Hopefully Halo 3 isn't just going to be flop.

It is a little overrated every game has it's limit in the fun department then they get boring.

what you mean... playing with friends and paying for live it's worth it... tbh... then you move into other games as well, like when you finally upgrade your Xbox to a 360

Halo and Halo 2 certainly are not overrated in my opinion. They are the two most prominent FPS games out there. As Lestat said, Metroid Prime, IMO, is a little overrated. Once I got halfway thru the second game, it just didn't draw me anymore. Halo 2 is a game whose true essence is multiplayer. I wholeheartedly agree that if one is to play Halo 2 campaign, then it can get very boring very quickly. Yet, the multiplayer is what the Halo games are all about. And, for me, each time I play it with a friend, I'm always left feeling satisfied with Halo 2.

I Agree with ruro. If you get it with xbox live then you'll see why it was advertised so much.It is one of the most enjoyable games to play with your friends , unlike mario party...Now thats an over-rated Series!

I agree about the Metroid Prime games on the GC but Metroid Prime Hunters is Awesome!!! It is great and I love its online playing. it is just [censored]' awesome

i think halo is highly overrated. still awesome, especially its multiplayer, but a lil bit over hyped for my taste. gimme Hitman over halo anyday ^_^

I love Halo and Halo 2 but yes they are a little overrated. The single player in Halo 2 sucked. I have to admit that online in Halo 2 is really good. If you have not played online in Halo 2 you have not played the full experience of Halo 2.
