Shigi Taishiji is an A rank fighter. He was sent by Toutaku to kill Hakufu. After the battle, he decides to let Hakufu live. After walking away from the fight, Shigi is attacked by Hannou and Ryuyou. Shigi is stabbed in the back and is put into the hospital.
In the anime he never wakes up. It is foreshadowed that he will wake up when he raises his arm and squeezes his fist. Shigi is a fair fighter and a bit cocky.
