Character Description: Rin
Rin is the adorably cute little girl that travels with Sesshomaru. When Sesshomaru was wounded by fighting with InuYasha, Rin took care of him and nursed him back to health. She was killed by a pack of Kouga's wolves, but Sesshomaru used his Tenseiga, and she was revived. Since then, she is almost always in Sesshomaru's company unless he tells her not to come because of the danger.
She is almost a stereotypical child, but she did not talk when we first met her. It wasn't until she traveled with Sesshomaru that her perkiness returned.
She is devoted to Sesshomaru, and he truly cares for her by protecting her and keeping her with him. She and Jaken get along, like an annoyed big brother/innocent little sister relationship.

Character Description: Rin
When Rin first showed up in episode 35 she found Sesshoumaru after is battle with Totosai and InuYasha. She took care of him and nursed him back to health without even talking to him. It was later found out she was an orphan and lived on a river bank. Her village was then attacked by Koga's wolves killing everyone, including Rin.
Sesshoumaru found her lying dead on a path and revived with Tenssiega. He has kept her by his side every since.
Rin was as at one point kidnapped by Naraku so Sesshoumaru who'd be lured into a trap. Which failed.
Sesshoumaru has proven on a number of times to be extremely and sometimes dangerously protective of Rin, which he keeps secret by coming up with excuses to why he protects her.

Ok to all of you hopeless (perhaps hapless) romantics out there who keep saying Rin and Sesshoumaru will eventually get married, there is no support to your claims. Of course Sesshoumaru cares for her, that can easily be seen in his over-protectivness, but he acts more like a father than a lover. I have seen nothing in the manga or anime to suggest anything other than a Father/Daughter relationship so please do not make such claims unless you have fact/proof to back it up.
That being said I absolutely love Rin! I also think her traveling with Sesshoumaru is a major contribution to his eventual tolerance of humans. While his affection is never verbally stated it is made obvious to all by his constant protection and in the end by the fact that after he leave her he continues to visit. Sesshomaru never gets married or mated to Rin. The only time its ever implied he cares for Rin is when Rin goes to live with Kaede and her stops by everyonce in a while to bring her presents. Rumiko Takahashi stated that their relationship was strictly Father/Daughter since Sesshomaru is over 700

Rin is probably the best role model for any girl that is still pretty young. But even though Sesshomaru doesn't like to admit it, but Rin did make a major impact on Sesshomarua and melting his cold heart little by little everday that Rin is with him. GO RIN CHAN!!

Rin is sooo darlingly cute and I feel for her too.
Being so attracted to Sesshomaru she wants to stay with
him always and her wish for him to never forget her I'm sure will come
true one day. But when she gets older she wants to marry him I've heard her imply that in the
anime her love Sesshomaru is perhaps strong enough to endure time and life changing expirences
along with him ( Sesshomaru ). It really is a love story in its self.
I really believe that Rin should always be refered to as Sesshomaru's Young Wife to-be and He looks at her with a gentel gaze and she being an orphan is a sad thing for her to travel with her
Future husband to-be. Although he hasn't ever said a word about this but there are signs of his
