The main character of To-Love-Ru, Rito is a 15 year old (later 16) high-school student. Rito used to be on the soccer team in junior high, but quit because he fell in love with Haruna Sarenji and couldn't concentrate. Rito is in love with Haruna Sarenji, but he starts caring pretty much about Lala trough the series. He feels uneasy when Lala disappears and starts worrying. Although Rito is clumsy, he's very caring and protects the people who are precious to him.
