Serenity is Joey's younger sister. She had very bad eye sight, and the operation to fix it costs $3 million. Joey got the cash from Yugi when Yugi won the Duelist Kingdom Tournament.
Serenity and Joey were separated when they were little kids. Joey's mom took Serenity and Joey's dad took Joey. Serenity's always believed in her big brother, and Joey has never let her down.
Tristan has/had a crush on Serenity.
I was been told that in the manga, Serenity and Seto get together, and in the anime it was Serenity and Tristan who got together. However, she doesn't get together with anyone in either the anime or manga (though Tristan and Duke do have crushes on her). The Serenity and Seto rumor started when apparently in the manga she wins him over with a song. This isn't true. In fact, they just speak once in the manga; when she asks him to land the airship to get Bakura to a hospital. He then, ignores her.

Ummm, just as an FYI for you all, 5'2 is short, so I don't see why everyone's making such a big deal about her being "too tall." It's quite the opposite: she's small!

Really now? Serenity is "to tall" to be 13? Come on; I was like five foot eight at thirteen and am now six foot two at age sixteen (and that was last time I was messeargd in height sometime in 09' and my birthday was June 2, so I'm probably taller than that!) and the whole Serenity and Seto getting together; at least they'd have cute kids, but I much perfer Seto x Joey or Seto x Mokuba (though; Mokuba x Ryou Bakura is my favorite couple). So you shouldn't really say anything about the height thing; people can be tall (Though, I think Americans grow taller than Japanese people or something cause alot of anime characters are small) Well...
