Depressing

What Anime did you find most Depressing of all?

My votes on Gunslinger Girl, it used to make me sweat just watching it lol, i dont ecactly know why it was so depressing for me but it just was :S.
Gungrave had an upsetting and amazing! story and ending but it didnt have an "As big" affect on me as Gunslinger Girl. Gunslinger Girl stayed on my mind for weeks and i had some of the music, it used to make me really depressed listening to it, so upsetting .

But i can honestly say that i have never been properly depressed thankgod, im a Happy chappy ^-^

i don't know... for most depressing OP(opening) i say it was elfen lied... the OP and the blood/storyline just got me really depressed...i also felt sad-depressed at the ending of air (the tv anime)

The most depressing anime to me was XXX Holic anime series about psychic's and the ability to change how you live as well as strange things normal humans would not be able to take part in. It's a very mysterious anime and gets you a bit depressed but its very good.

It's so old and makes me sound like an ammature anime fan, but the Stars and S seasons of Sailor Moon at the end were really sad and depressing, especially when Galaxia just wiped out the senshi with one shot, when I first saw that I was like "OMG WTF Sailor Moon's gotta like rip out a lung to win this one". Fushigi Yuugi got really depressing, Tamahome and Miaka had to go through so much crap to stay together

i dislike overly bloody anime :/ i like blood in anime but some shows just over do it for me, i prefer mature anime that isn't going over in the blood section.

Chrono crusade got u depressed? chrono left me with a bitter-sweet feeling, not happy but not sad

I like endings like Samurai Champloo ^^.
The Cowboy Bebop ending I found quite upsetting but it didnt make me think and deppressed, just a tad upset.
