Gears of War 2
On a scale of one to ten, ten being the most awesome, how awesome is Gears 2?
Man, this game is so great. Head shots galore! It's even better than the first, and the first one was the reason I got a 360. Everything has more depth, the characters, the enemies, story line, even the environments have gotten better.
Shooter of the year, am I right?

Re: Gears of War 2
It was good, solid fun, which is something games rarely provide these days
I hate to generalize, but – generally speaking – I hate it! But what do I know? I'm probably too old for it.

Indeed. Though I do have the one problem with it, length. But I suppose if it were longer, it might get repetitive.

I really enjoyed Gears 2. I must say I spent more time playing Horde online then the sinplayer campign.
Each one was fantastic.

Re: Gears of War 2
It was better than one in many respects. But, to me, it's a lot like the movie Aliens and Alien.
You watch both back to back, and, you know as a movie, the first is better, but you sooner watch 2 because it's more action packed. This is how I feel about Gears 2.
But, Gears 2 is miles easier than one. Me and my buddy Hinato knocked out Hardcore (because we didn't have insane) with very little hassle. Epic Games, please, MAKE A DIFFICULT GAME!!
8/10. It would be a 9 if the Lancer duels were... y'know... GOOD!

Re: Gears of War 2
I did find the difficulty level of gears 2 was toned down a bit from gears 1. Gears 1 casual was about equal to gears 2 hardcore in my opinion.

I'd believe that. In the first Gears I needed another player to beat Raam, that kinda hurt my spirit a little.Aoi Sakuraba wrote:I did find the difficulty level of gears 2 was toned down a bit from gears 1. Gears 1 casual was about equal to gears 2 hardcore in my opinion.

RAAM makes all of Gears 2 look like childs play. I hated RAAM, it took me forever to kill him. What I found Ironic in gears 2 was when you are first going underground in those pods and the new general guy pops up and cuts the Centaur tank in half Marcus says he made Raam look like a wimp (or something to that effect)......but I thought he was weak sauce compared to Raam

The only thing the whatshisface new guy has on Raam is style. I mean, his ... hair(?) blew me away.Aoi Sakuraba wrote:RAAM makes all of Gears 2 look like childs play. Re: Gears of War 2
They kinda looked like dreads, dontcha think?
The whole difficulty thing in gears 2 is laughable. Although, me and Hinato died several times in the early chapters, because we were given the objective, (save the vehicle from mortar fire) but WEREN'T told what direction they where comin from. Once we twigged, and got our psychic link on, we hardly struggled.
And as for RAAM, since Hinato and I have only played gears together, I can't comment on the solo difficulty. We found a Torque to disperse the Kryll (where the crap where THEY in G2?!) and a charged up Longshot to the face was plentyful ^_^
