Kei shook her head
"No, it would not collapse unless they used heavy duty bombs, attached to the roof. The is re-enforced, and has been since the Mole Hole was a small medieval community. Another re-enforcement is added every five years. That was last year. Though I might push forward for another, just encase. To collapse the entire place would cause for mass evacuation. Since there are only four bases, not including this one, I doubt this entire city could fit into all four of them. Its a design fault. Big enough for a whole city of Morphs, but to big to fit them anywhere else. Thats why I don't think I can abandon it," Kaelin looked at her
"If you're gonna stay here, I'll stay a little while to help you organize things a bit before heading off to Lupus Base. I need a twenty man escort as well, of excellent soldiers, for my war council at Lupus," Kei rolled her eyes
"Don't take all the good uns now, I'm gonna need some too. If The Church find out about this place, they are gonna take every advantage to attack it," Kaelin nodded solemnly as they stopped briefly for some large black iron gates to open. The Mole Mansion was small for a mansion, but still large in size. The front gardens sprawled either side of the driveway, with cherry blossom trees in large clusters around gazebos. There was a fountain where a roundabout should be and the limo stopped outside the front stairs of the mansion, Greek embellishments on the pillars.

The Challenger Patrol car was now seemingly out in the middle of nowhere, traveling down a dirt road toward what looked like a small country cottage, the lights off and the home seemingly devoid of life. As Edward prattled on about his 'Mental state', Ryan could only shake his head and roll his eyes, stopping the car under an awning at the side of the home. With a huff, Ryan parked the car and turned off the engine, pulling the keys and pausing a moment before he looked to he young solider.

"Enough with the formalities kid, you can say whatever the hell you want. Don't need my permission."

Ryan then stuffed the keys in his BDU vest and pulled a pack of cigarettes from a leg pocket. Tapping the pack on his hand, a single cigarette popped out of the pack which was soon scooped up by his free hand and stuffed into his mouth. He popped the pack back into the pocket and produced a lighter, which he immediately lit and ignited the tobacco product. With a single drag, he exhaled and leaned against the drivers side door, left hand propping up his chin as he absently smoked the cigarette.

Edward spotted the upcoming house and felt a little uneasy about the location. Then again Ryan had said 'presents' so he shouldn't be surprised it was more than a little out of the way. The car parked and Edward's hand automatically unbuckled and went back to a rest position.
Edward felt his hand touch the gun as he was faced and then had to force himself not to jump at Ryan's words. Well, he figured, if Ryan didn't care he could test his faith. "Actually, sir;" he spat out the title in a particularly vicious fashion. "I do after all rather you call us god's soldiers or not the truth is we're an execution, no, a genocide group based on rank and file just like any army. While its true that minor insurgence groups of morphs have arisen and caused trouble most are content with peace." He just noticed the blasted smoke filling his nostrils and retreated slightly to escape the lung immune and various other systems killing smoke. "But thats not what people care about they want a monster something tangible to fear or loathe or blame. And of course something to run to for answers something created by tyrannical beasts in the guise of humans for the sake of sheep in the retched guise of humans; god."
Edward had more to say on the matter but first he had to gauge the reaction of his audience. He wasn't sure when he had done it but he had laid his back against the passenger door and had left leg resting on the seat before him. His hand lazily lying on the rim that allowed him to simply flick his wrist and grab his favorite bladed weapon the butterfly knife. His eyes had also closed as if to let the sentences appear and sort in the darkness that accompanied it. Edward knew he was on a delicate line and people had been killed for much less but Ryan had said he could say whatever he wanted.

"Well, if that's what we're created for..saving sheep. Then you've hit the nail on the head. But hey, it puts hot food on the table and pays the bills..from those "monsters." But remember, as long as they're happy... life's good for us."

Ryan ducked out of the car and straightened his BDU before leaning back down into the car.

"And that happiness is the key for us to do our magic unabated. So love it while you can, it could be worse for all of us if Nigel hadn't been pulling."

Ryan slammed the door shut and trudged up toward the cabin, slowing a bit and waiting for Edward to follow.

Edward watched the lieutenant leave wearily. He was as much a victim of convenient logic as most people. Edward stepped out closing the door expect for a tiny crack most people wouldn't notice. He followed Ryan slightly behind with his eyes carefully scanning the area.
"So Genocide is fine so long as people, or at least the majority are allowed to leave blissfully? So then will you say the same if for their happiness we're to be killed?" It was obvious from his words and actions that Ryan wouldn't take Edward seriously. Even his use of 'kid' which Edward had initially assumed to be some form of attached due to his young age was actually derogatory and represented his belief Edward didn't understand the adult world.
All this added up to however was that Edward would stop the straightforward kid act he'd been upholding around him and switch to a much more conserved him.

"Yeah, Genocide is perfectly fine in my book.." Spat Ryan with a sarcastic tone.

"Listen, happiness is a relative term. They have food, shelter, protection; the basic needs of a human being. And most are perfectly fine with that. I mean what do you think we should give them? A flipping utopia where everything is hunkey-dory and everyone is holding hands and stuff like that?"

Ryan stopped and turned to the kid, eyes steeled and a little peeved.

"Seriously, keeping the status quo right now is the safest thing we can do. These are trying times, and once these times have passed, then maybe someone can go about changing the world to be a little more peaceful or whatever puke ya like.

But right now..we have other concerns to attend to.. Like making sure there is a world to come back to when this is all over."

Ryan's arms crossed and looked the kid up and down. Nigel was right in one thing..those docs did a damn good job making the kid quite the philosopher. Too bad it may be his own undoing..

Edward inwardly jumped back at the sudden hostility displayed by the lieutenant. At the very least it meant that all his not-so-subtle stabbing at his beliefs was having an effect. For now though he would have to move the situation forward before something bad happened. "I believe the status quo was mostly peaceful co-existence with the morphs. As you said the this is not a utopia where everything is 'hunkey-dorey" and therefore confrontation is impossible to prevent between humans. But, you make it sound as if the world would end if we failed to wipe out the morphs I wonder how valid that is after all they've been around for as long as humans."
He shrugged and watched the slight tensing of muscles as he finished speaking."But thats neither here nor there for now the war will continue and no amount of personal disagreement will help, right?" Edward had a theory that the easier people were frustrated with the questioning of their beliefs the less devout they were. He also wondered that if he changed Ryan's overly-convenient way of thinking to do something about his uncertainties who would be killed first himself or the person who allowed himself to be turned?

Kei was on her balcony, looking up at the fake sky of the Mole Hole. Special lights floated above the buildings to create a starry sky. She sighed and went back into her room, closing and locking the door behind her. She walked past her four poster double bed and slipped on some house shoes before leaving her room, locking the door and putting the key in her pocket. She walked down the corridor to the grand staircase, descending. Kaelin would probably be relaxing in the Fire lounge. Crossing the entrance hall to a set of double doors, Kei entered into a reasonable sized room. A roaring fire was surrounded by a few arm chairs. Sofas had been put round the edge of the room, along with a bookcase or two. A pool table stood in the middle, on a expensive carpet. Four people were stood around the pool table, two men and two women. They were in the middle of a match it seemed. Kaelin was sat in a chair by the fire, reading a book. They all looked up as Kei entered the room. Kaelin stood and walked over to her grinning.
"Oh Hai," Kei giggled slightly, then pointed to the others
"Who are they Kaelin?" Kaelin looked at the others and then back at Kei
"They will be your generals. I know you're going to stay here, I can tell," he looked at the others, who had stopped playing pool, and were now looking at the siblings.
"Mika and Joseph are you kitsune generals. Mika is a trained soldier, english, can use any weapon. She favors her triple katanas and her gun," Mika was a tall ample bosomed woman, with skimpy clothing and white short hair, ears and tail, "Joseph is a American Shinto priest, very skilled in holy magic. He prefers to use his hands over anything else," Joseph wore a white shinto priests robe. His long white hair was loose, his white ears and tail twitching, "Sasuki and Shouhei are both Japanese nekos. They are brother and sister, both trained in the art of ninjistu. Both perfect assassins," Sasuki was the female, dressed in a french maid outfit. She had purplish hair, long front bangs. Her ears and cat like tail were the same colour of her hair. Shouhei was dressed in black trousers and sleeves, his upper torso bare. A bandanna was tied round his face, matching his longish black hair, ears and tail.
"Well hello to you all. I suppose we will all spending time with each other," Kaelin nodded
"There are five more of each team, totaling fourteen crack soldiers. They will be your main group in charge of your army," Kei nodded and grinned at her generals
"How about a mass feast? Get your people, and I'll get my people,"

Kaelin and Kei lead the way out of the room. Kei spotted Killua as they left and smiled
"Oh, hey Killua!! Come on, we're all having dinner with our guests. I'll introduce you when we get to the dinning room," she held out a hand for him. Kaelin smiled and walked with the other four
"Did any of you notice him there? Not very good assassins if you didn't," Sasuki smiled coyly
"Just because we don't say anything Kaelin-kun, doesn't mean we do not see or hear it,' Kaelin rolled his eyes
"Ninjas, your so sneaky," Sasuki grinned
"Thats the point," Kaelin laughed and stopped a maid
"Please call every one to dinner. You know where the gong is. Thank you," the maid bowed and hurried off to do as she was told.

Kei smiled at Killua and tapped her nose
"They're not going to tell you are they?" Kaelin looked back and smiled as well
"Indeed young Killua, they can only reveal their identities to you, if your willing to risk your life," Mika laughed, her white tail swishing as she walked
"Almost like if we tell you which one of us is an assassin, we will have to kill you kinda thing," they all laughed, then turned into a room. A gong began to sound throughout the mansion. The room was a long room, with a long table in the middle of it. Decoration surrounded the walls of the room, paintings, plants and statues. There were 24 seats at the table, each with a placemat, goblet and basic knife and fork. Kaelin stopped
"Lets be seated then," Kei turned to Killua and grinned
"I'd appreciate if you ate with us, and in human form, please?"
