Hello everyone.
I need some help. I need a recommendation for a Manga that is suitable for a 12 year old girl. It is for a charitable gift function in my community where people can take a tag that contains a number the persons age and what they want written on it. I am of a different demographic and do not have a clue what would be right for that age group. Could someone offer a suggestion please.

Hm, I don't really read manga. I'm a bookseller, and the manga that sells pretty well is Naruto and I think Negima as well. I honestly think though that you might be better off with Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. Her books are a HUGE score within that age group.
I was doing some stumbling, and I came across this: A Parent's Guide to Anime

It's not Angel Tree, is it?! That sounds like just what we do for Angel Tree; we buy gifts for kids whose parents are in prison. We get a tag with their name, age, and gift request on it.
It's hard to generalize what a 12-year-old girl might want without knowing what kind of stuff she really likes to read. But I second the Fruits Basket motion. Aria/Aqua is awesome - fantasy story on a flooded planet Mars, where young girls become undines (pilot gondolas) and cats are the presidents of companies. Well, I like it, anyway. lmao. Marmalade Boy is a classic young romance story - likeable characters, realistic, some humor, etc. Ouran High School Host Club is about a girl who is mistaken for a boy at a rich school, so she decides to keep up the charade of being a boy.
These are all fluffy/tame titles, though. I wouldn't want to suggest something violent, mature, etc...
