Gojira. Gojira is kickass.
Job For a Cowboy are incredibly [censored]. I'm disappointed in you GG. No more story for you!
I've recently gotten into a band called Moonshine. I don't know if I mentioned them previously. Good chance that I haven't.
But they have a different sound, and I love it.

You can't take away the story man! You just can't! I have bad sources, alright?
Besides, if I never see anymore, I'll rip you off, and submit your story to my writers craft course. And everyone'd be like "Oh wow, that was awesome." and I'll be all "Yeah, it was. And I totally wrote it you guys. It was me. All me. I wrote it. No doubt about that. I didn't steal this at all. Nope. Totally me. In conclusion, me."

King Crimson used to be fairly popular, but yeah, sadly nobody knows who they are anymore. Same can be said for most prog bands that aren't Rush, Pink Floyd or Genesis

Well, there are Japanese Indie bands that do count. Boris and Shonen Knife are about as underground as it gets. In fact, they're more popular here in the West than in Japan (I guess they're too good for their own country where the most popular type of rock is Visual-Kei, the retarded baby from a one-nighter between Ratt and The Cure.)

Are you serious?! The Silversun Pickups is too awesome to be unheard of, in my opinion. >.<
You know me virtually (or used to) and I love the Silversun Pickups. They're one of my favorite bands.
