the anime mixes up the chronological order (actually, so do the light novels), so after you order everything up, you'll like it a bit more (if not a lot more). I'm not familiar with anime itself, but I've seen the Kyon version anime ending quite a lot, so I was very happy when the Kyon version ending wasn't the actual ending.

Anyways, Haruhi's character and her surrounding characters are entertaining to observe. I watched the subbed version.

and on top of that i have never seen an anime that did have nameless people in it, they call kyons siter "little sister"! her real name is never mentioned! whats up with that!?

what are you on? I can name 1 right off the top of my head Welcome to the NHK. They actally invented a name for Tatsuhiro's senpai in the anime because in the books she was simply called senpai

I think it's really funny that she didn't grasp that in anime and the country of Japan, people use last names to show respect, and if they don't it's considered extremely rude.

Its not showing respect it's just the polite way you address a person you don't know. you don't use the last name when talking to friends or family. Showing respect is adding titles to the end of the persons name (san, sama, dono.....etc)
