re: Check this out! NICE!
It would be great if it wasn't for the fact (And you can see it in that picture) that most of those DVDs are bootlegs. The ones that are region free and have slip covers and have the whole series in a folding case.
I know what some of you are thinking, what's so bad about bootlegs? Well for starters the studios that make the anime don't get paid for them. No money for them means less money for them to make more anime with. There is also the possiblity of DVDs being flawed, and where are you going to get the flawed DVD replaced if it's a bootleg? No where. You're out whatever you paid for it and have a bad copy of it at that.

Re: re: Check this out! NICE!
As I the seller, I do understand, however keep in mind me and some others dont have the luxury being able to spend $20+ for one dvd that may have 3-5 episodes. As for the DVD's themselves, I have watched them all once as indicated with no skips, which is why i stated "perfect condition." As for the studio's not getting money, thats a load of bs. First off when you are buying anime from your local Best Buy the money you spend goes to the best buy not the anime company's such as ADV. They purchase the DVDs in bulk from them so the ones who are losing any profit is Best Buy. And anyone will half a brain can see which is the better option. Option A, less anime you can brag to your friends that you have "region 1" or you can get what people call bootlegs (proper term "import") and get alot more anime at really good prices. Sorry pal but I choose import!Duuz wrote:It would be great if it wasn't for the fact (And you can see it in that picture) that most of those DVDs are bootlegs. Perhaps I am wrong, but I am pretty sure you were asked not to advertise in these forums. If not someone just like you was not to do so.
At any rate, I am locking this thread until the webmaster decides what to do with it.

Stand back! This old Otaku has PMS, a broadsword, a double bladed battle ax, a flail, dagger in her teeth and a pistol in her belt.

Depends on the situation. I wouldn't mind if the poster was a regular or at least semi-active member of the forum, but I hate when they sign up for the sole purpose of advertising. At any rate, eBay apparently felt the auction violated their policy and removed it, so there's no need for us to do anything else.Dark Lilly wrote:Perhaps I am wrong, but I am pretty sure you were asked not to advertise in these forums.
