i choose #3 the reason i like anime more than american cartoons is cuz its not always the same ol boring thing and it's a lot more "serious" and more mature also it's not just 4 kids it can be 4 any kinda audience i can't really say why i like it so much all i can say is anime is amazing!

American cartoons, for the most part, are directed at children. In Japan, there is anime designed specifically for children, for adolescents, for teens and adults. So9me is directed at females while others targets a male audience. It can be funny, moving, thought provoking and sexy .... all in one sereies! I find the writing superior to most American live action, sitcoms in particular. Haven't watched a sitcom in ages. I find anime characters, story lines and relationships much more satisfying somehow. I am continually amazed by the way they are able to breathe real life into what starts out with nothing more than ink on paper: a concept, a script and drawings.

anime is different from american anime because the artists and writers have a talent for making you think these characters are real. i mean you know they're not but they have a humanity about them that makes you think you know these characters even if it takes a whole show to do it. Not to mention unlike american cartoons that are aimed primarily at children they have something for everyone. and every anime has a personality of it's own. every artist puts they're own design into what they make. and if you watch enough different anime you can tell what artist did what even if you can't think of that persons name. wow i'm sure there's stuff i didn't have enough room to put sorry it was so long.

This post is for what people think anime is defined as not what simple minded people think of this country versus other countries. If you don't like it go somewhere else. America is made up of all kinds of different cultures the japanese included so to diss any other culture like that you are only badmouthing your own country.

Ignore this disgusting, bigoted person who is intent on abusing our hospitality as a “guest.” He can exercise his free speech here unless he becomes abusive and personally disrespectful. Then, he goes.

Responding to him only feeds the fire. If you are so inclined, pray to the god of your choice for the ease of his pathetic soul but otherwise pretend he does not exist.

I think anime feels more loved, you know what I mean?
And the story lines are more complex.
