Why do you like anime?

Why do I like Anime? heh, thats the easiest question I've ever been given.

I don't like anime. I love and adore it. Anime gives me the chance to feel free and enjoy my time watching different types of Anime being released daily over in Japan and America.

Now when I say I love it, I mean collect it like its my own child that I helped create (eventhough I didn't). A specific anime has to catch my eye in order for me to love it. 1. Its got to have a great storyline and characters and no random $h!+ going on all over the place. By then, I will adore it.

Earlier, I said feel free and enjoy my time. Its true! Most animes that I get to watch nowadays consist of comedy relief and Real-Life situations. Comic Party for example does that. Made me think and realize I was just like half of the characters created in that anime series.

Now I am glad to be a anime fan. Also, if it wasn't for Genshiken, I would probably embarass to walk outside with anime shirts and stuff. Genshiken represents Anime fans of all shapes, sizes, and attitudes. Genshiken showed me to love anime no matter because its what I love for and enjoy as a hobby or a may be occupation one day.

So there you have it. Why I like anime! ^_^

Bravo! You two are by far some of the most dedicated Otaku's I've met! Of course, that actually includes anybody here! So the rest of you, don't take this as favoritism! Kenshin I definetly agree with you, anime is wonderful because it's anime.

Ha ha, I'm sorry if I came off as a little strong. I'm just very proud of my obsession and immense love of anime. Otaku are rare 'round here and I love posting on anime sites! Sorry if I'm a little odd

No worries! Where I'm from, there is a small group I started called the "Anime Informationalist". We spend most of our time dedicating our lives to Anime and spreading the word about anime we seen. Our collection of Anime (well, Mine alone) has increased Dramatically. If you put my list in word, it equals up to 10 1/2 pages.

Nothing wrong with loving anime. Thats cool with us because it shows your proud to be who you are and what you support, which is Anime. So don't feel odd, feel proud. ^_^

thx, I feel happy. I don't really know how much anime's out there but for the anime that I have seen I think it is simply amazing. That goes for manga too! I'm sure there's a lot but I'm satisfied with what I have, *glances at empty wallet*

lol there are ways to see Anime new and old at certain places. But I'm sure someone doesn't want you to download licensed Anime and I would understand him lol. But yeah, you'll be able to see the new anime that will be showing in Japan and the people who get the RAW Files (Japanese) and subtitle it for the Anime community.

Thx for the info, even though I usually just wait until amazon carries it...I don't like downloading stuff of the internet, my firewalls (though good) aren't capable enough to fight off viriuses encrypted into anime. Manga I'll sometimes get off the internet, like Naruto or Bleach but other than that I'll just ride down to the bookstore.
