I don't know if you really want to see the 0083 movie. A 13 episodes chopped down into an 1 1/2 or 2 hour movie... well lets say I haven't heard very many good things about it. The OVA series is really the best way to watch Gundam 0083.

And wondering. Did they just release the Gundam Seed series as an cut down into a movie as well? I saw a DVD that said Gundam Seed movie a few weeks ago. So soon after the last Seed DVD was released back in May as well. Why? At least they could have waited for a few more months.

I no all there is about Gundam Seed and as for the Seed Movie Dont buy it man its just a re hash of the series as a whole!! WARNING***

But there are extra scenes, (as well as deleted scenes, i.e. Mu's helmet) and personally, I rather watch the Seed Movies than finish the series, which I just haven't the will power to do.
(And you do get to see that extra Flay X Kira sex scene )

And yes, the 0083 compilation movie : The Last Blitz of Zeon sucked. Unfortunately for me, your warning was a little too late Duuz. The movie was not edited very well, many characters like Bernard and Cpt. Burning just appeared out of nowhere without any introductions, Cpt. Burning's death was left out, the repair of the Val Varo was left intact, but the Val Varo fight scene was left out the plot wasn't very coherent either. I would have been left in the dark if I hadn't already seen the OVA

Thank you for that confermation, but Burning was a Lt. not a Cpt. is that a change from the OVA to the movie?

ah, no, that was my mistake. I haven't seen 0083 in quite a while, and Lt. Burning was not referred to by his name or rank in the entire movie. The only change from the series (as far as I can tell) is an introduction done by Nina on board the Albion just before it takes off to hunt for Gato. The intro was also done rather shoddily, as she talks (or should I say thinks?) about Gato as if she never knew him (e.g. "Even I have heard of him")
