Confused

It's not nearly as complex as English, but as usual we find ways to screw it up.

All right I don't know much Japanese but I was wondering if anyone could confirm that I've got this translated right.

Sango=love
Kagome=Live true
youkai=demon
taiyoukai=great demon
houshi=monk
taijiya=demon slayer
sama or dono are used to confer great respect
okaa-san=mother
hotaru=greasshopper
naraku=hell
baka=idiot
tenshi=angel
kinryouku=sanctuary
kitsune=fox
the only other things that I know are some honorifics and that's about it.

I understand it but I thought Kagome's name litterally translated was either woven bamboo or kagome shippo means 7 treasures Narku also can mean mathroom :lol: and Dono is usally used between lovers and I'm fairly certian you got the rest right

thx I thought Kagome meant Live true because that's what I saw on a bottle of some kind of energy drink in the store a few days ago.

I belive that Miroku's name means "Worshipper of Budda."

Someone once told me that Inuyasha means female demon. Another one said it meant friendly spirit.

Naraku means Hades.
Jigoku means Hell.
The difference? I barely know.

Miroku I believe means something the lines of... how should I say this...

Blissfully saves people.

Yeah... I guess that works
